چکیده

BackgroundTibialis posterior tendon, deltoid ligament and spring are the three most important structures on medial aspect of foot. They contribute to stability foot ankle also maintenance arches These get affected dimensions disrupted in various traumatic degenerative conditions. Normal range these has not been studied an Indian population. Our objective is define normal thicknesses using a cadaveric model. We hypothesize that longer foot, higher stresses hence thicker they will be. aim assess this hypothesis as well.MethodsDissection was done twenty below knee specimens. Tibialis tendon identified its thickness measured. Deltoid plantar calcaneonavicular ligaments were identified. Their lengths Length feet measured prior dissection. Statistical analysis data obtained.ResultsMean tibialis 7.0165 ± 0.387 mm. Mean 5.124 0.28 Its mean length 21.328 2.22 plantarcalcaneonavicular 2.491 1.120 Thicknesses correlated significantly with foot.ConclusionThe shown be function proportional This helps surgeon estimate which had pathology, order recreate non-pathological anatomy after transfer or reconstruction procedure. The posterior, described for setting deviations can used pathologies affecting structures.

Mobility and posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD) in persons with flat foot: a case control study

Background Posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD) is a progressive and debilitating condition. Flat foot is a known associated factor of PTTD but there are still many questions about the biomechanical etiology of PTTD. Hypermobility in the first ray and first metatarsophalangeal joint (MPJ) is thought to be a causative factor in various foot pathologies including PTTD, however the associati...

Posterior Tibial Tendon Endoscopic Debridement for Stage I and II Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction

Adult acquired flatfoot deformity (AAFD), formerly known as posterior tibial tendon (PTT) dysfunction, is one of the most common problems of the foot and ankle. It was first described as tendon failure but has since been revealed as ligamentous failure in addition. AAFD is a spectrum of deformities that ranges from tenosynovitis (stage I) to AAFD (stages II-IV). Regarding mild stage I and stage...

Tibial torsion among filipinos: a cadaveric study.

ABSTRACT Tibial torsion, the twisting of the tibia about its long axis, can affect rotational positioning in total knee replacement. This angle varies depending on the ethnicity of the subject. There are no published studies to date to determine the tibial torsion among Filipinos. In this study, 28 cadaveric limbs were examined. Our results show that the average tibial torsion among adult Filip...
